Corona’s Wave of Waste wins Creative Classic Award at the 2019 Global FEPE Gala Awards
Posterscope, in collaboration with Primesight, Weiden + Kennedy, Vizeum and Sketch have won the Creative Classic Award at FEPE 2019, for their “Wave of Waste” work with Corona. FEPE is a worldwide association of outdoor advertising companies, and their awards celebrate the best in OOH.
Designed by artist Andy Billett, a sculpture of a crashing wave was built from plastic collected in the UK at Primesight’s Old Street Domination to mark World Oceans Day on 8 June 2018. The plastic weighed 1,200kg, and comprised of over 10,000 individual pieces – representing the amount of marine plastic pollution found on the beach every two miles in the UK. Members of the public were invited to contribute to the wave by dropping off their own plastic waste at the site in the run-up to World Oceans Day, and share the special build on social media.
